Rex, a dog who works for the film industry, is known for his athletic abilities but his
luck runs out while shooting a commercial.
Something goes wrong with an aerial stunt and everybody presumes Rex is dead.
But he is not, he's in an unfamiliar city, where he has taken refuge in an abandoned loft.
Shane, a 12-year-old, and the son of a fire brigade captain who is in charge of a rundown
fire station known as Dogpatch.
Captain Connor has to inspire his personel, who have lost their former captain, Connor's brother.
When a fire breaks out in the lofts where Rex is hiding Dogpatch has to Extinguish it.
Conner rescues Rex from the roof of the building.
Shane becomes the new master of Rex. Rex shows his skills during rescue calls, and Dogpatch
makes Rex its mascot. But Rex's fame has drawn the attention of
his rightful owners who want him back.
