Poseidon Movie Story - Synopsis. When a huge wave capsizes a cruise ship in the North Atlantic Ocean, a small group of survivors battles for their lives. Preferring to test the odds alone, career gambler Dylan Johns (Josh Lucas ) ignores captain's orders for possible rescue and wants to get out to safety. Dylan is followed by a desperate father (Kurt Russell ) searching for his daughter and they are joined by a single mother and her son. Determined to fight their way to the surface, the group sets off through the never ending maze of twisted steel in the wreckage. As the vessel fills with water each must draw on skills they didn't even know they possessed, fighting against time for the survival of all. |
