Open Season Movie Story - Synopsis. Boog, A Grizzly bear, frees Elliot, a wild mule deer, who was caught by by the hunter Shaw (Gary Sinise). Elliot attempts to return the favor by “freeing” Boog from Park Ranger Beth (Debra Messing. ) the woman that raised him since he was a cub. The two troublemakers are in the wild again three days before hunting season and Shaw in hot pursuit, Boog and Elliot must learn to work together and unite the creatures that live in the woods.
