NCAA Football 06 Game Story. The game includes several major tweaks and upgrades, such as the race for the Heisman mode and in-season recruiting. Perhaps more importantly, the game balance, especially in the passing portion, is much improved over last year's edition. The improved game balance and new features make NCAA Football 06 arguably the best in the series, as well as a game that's a must-have for college football fanatics. The graphics for NCAA Football 2006 are really well done. Everything seems to have had a slight upgrade. The texture use on the players clothing seems to have gotten a slight facelift because everything has a sharper look and feel to it. One of the biggest areas of improvement is all of the player animations. Everything from the running to the tackling has redone and looks ultra realistic when it is being preformed. Depending on how well you perform, you'll get offers from a number of schools. Play well and you might get a scholarship from a perennial powerhouse, while playing poorly could land you at one of D1's whipping boys. Don't worry if there are no offers from your favorite team, however, as you can choose to be a walk-on at any school you'd like. As any other player, you’ll have your own dorm room from which you can check your and your team's stats, read fan mail, and whatever else you do by yourself. Do well on the field and your room begins to be more “livable” with decorations and toys that I guess are given by thankful alumni. From the cheerleaders on the sidelines and rabid fans chanting from their seats, all the sights and sounds of a college football game are recreated perfectly. Watching the in-studio commentary and analysis by Brad Nessler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Lee Corso before each game adds to the TV-like presentation. In addition, all the graphics have been redone and supports HDTV display. |
