Jarhead Movie Synopis. Jarhead follows “Swoff” (Jake Gyllenhaal), a third-generation enlistee, from boot camp to active duty, with a hundred-pound ruck sack on his back and a sniper’s rifle to carry. Through Middle East deserts with no cover from sun or from Iraqi soliders, always over the next horizon. Swoff and his fellow Marines sustain themselves with sardonic humanity and wicked comedy on blazing desert fields in a country they don’t really understand, against an enemy they can’t see, for a cause they don not fully believe in. Jamie Foxx portrays Sergeant Sykes, a Marine lifer who heads up Swofford’s scout-platoon, while Sarsgaard is Swoff’s mentor and friend, Troy, a die-hard member of STA- their elite Marine Unit. Starring: Peter Sarsgaard, Lucas Black and Brian Geraghty. |
