Hollywoodland Movie Story - Synopsis. An exploration of fame and identity. The movie follows a 1950s private detective (Adrien Brody) who, investigates the death George Reeves(Ben Affleck) the well known actor playing Superman. He uncovers connections to his own life as the case turns more and more personal. The affair Reeves had with the wife (Diane Lane) of a studio boss (Bob Hoskins) might be the main lead. But justice is not so easily found in Hollywood. Simo pursues dangerous leads in high and low places and, risks a lot. The detective also learns more about Reeves himself, who was a complex man who gave his life to Hollywood in the most literal sense. Everyone has his own version of the truth, "Hollywoodland" is a document about one of the most infamous real-life mysteries of our time. |
