American Gun Movie Story - Synopsis. AMERICAN GUN is a series of stories that bring to light how the proliferation of guns in the US affects every day life of many citizens. The film opens at the beginning of a normal day in a gun store, where the owner, continues to sidestep controversy while running the shop he loves. His newest employee is Mary Ann, his granddaughter, a college student spending a semester in the family business. Curiosity overcomes her as she is slowly overwhelmed by the weapon she sells. On Chicago's gritty west side, principal Carl struggles to keep his violent inner-city high school from destructing itslef. His wife Sara fears for the safety of their son. When ace student Jay is caught hiding a gun, both principal and student find themselves facing decisions they never wanted to make. Starring: Forest Whitaker, Donald Sutherland, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Linda Cardellini and Nikki Reed. |
